A simplified explanation of the hypothesis of multiple universes
Many times I hear or read comments about the theme of multiple universes. Why have we reached this hypothesis and are they really proven? What does it mean to have multiple universes?
In fact, the conclusion of multiple universes results from a proven scientific theory called "cosmic inflation". In the beginning, how do we know that the universe began from a beginning event and that it was not in its current form since eternity?
Several physical evidence has led scientists to conclude the Big Bang. The most important of these is the fact that our universe is expanding exponentially, as the galaxies far away from us are increasing. The beautiful science that finding the answer raises more questions, so I will list the series of questions and answers that led us to conclude the existence of multiple universes.
Expansion:
Hubble discovered that our universe is full of galaxies and that our previous assumption that our universe is one galaxy is wrong. This new reality was a curious curiosity to see how far away from these galaxies and when we detected galaxies it was discovered that the frequency of light coming from them reaches us in a shift towards the red color. This finding means that the light coming toward us from these galaxies is moving away from us because of the Doppler principle that describes how the waves work in nature and how their frequency changes based on the direction in which it starts. All of us distinguish the sound of the ambulance passing by us and how the sound is loud and sharp and then drops towards the direction of the car. This phenomenon that makes the sound of the ambulance gradually decreasing is the same that makes the galaxies reach us in a red shift due to their divergence from us.
If we discover that the universe consists of many galaxies and that these galaxies are moving in the opposite direction as a result of the expansion of space between us and those galaxies.
Cosmic background radiation:
In the research on the subject of the Big Bang, the researchers launched an observatory to measure the radiation effects of the beginning of the universe and its expansion was the result of what we call a map
The molecular radiation of the universe or, in other words, a map showing the radiative effect of nuclear reactions in the universe. This map shows how the universe is homogeneous all around and can not be distinguished anywhere on the map.
This result posed an important and very difficult question. As the universe expands and as the universe ages about 14 billion years ago, it means that the periphery of the universe is about 92 billion light-years. This means that the information (physical properties) on the two sides of the universe, which we discovered that identical so far that the light was unable to reach between the parties, how the parties knew the universe of physical properties to be homogeneous?
From this point arose a theory called global inflation, which explains how the expansion of the universe in great moments of the beginning, which explains the harmony between the parties because they were one part and separated and then expanded.
I do not enter here any technical details and only explain the concepts briefly to reach the conclusion of the multiple universes.
Now imagine that the universe is a bubble that has begun to expand enormously. The conclusion that emerged from the theory of expansion is that not all parts of this bubble will expand at the same speed, which means that some of them slower than other parts will form a bubble within the basic bubble or the original universe from which we started.
Imagine a large bubble expanding but parts expanding at different speeds. We will have many bubbles due to variations in velocities and each bubble will continue to expand but under different conditions and speeds, which means that the conditions that arise within each bubble will be different.
Conclusion The emergence of different bubbles due to variations in expansion velocities is due to the theory of cosmic inflation. The theory of cosmic inflation is a solid theory that has many concrete signs which I have not touched upon in detail (the universe is flat, cosmic homogeneity on all sides, polarity of cosmic radiation, theory of atomic evolution of hydrogens). Is a mathematical conclusion and since the theory itself is proven, its conclusions are scientific conclusions, but they remain unproven.
These conclusions claim there are bubbles that we call multiple universes in which the physical laws are slightly different as a result of the expansion velocities that occurred within those bubbles at the beginning of inflation. We live in one of these bubbles and there are other cosmic bubbles within the original bubble that we can not detect because of beyond the horizon of our universe event (the limits of our universe).
Because our bubble expands faster than light, the light within the edges of our bubble will never reach the other end and we will always have a horizon that we think is the boundary of the universe. The light that starts today from the limits of our perspective means that it will not be able to reach the other end because of the speed of expansion that accelerates faster than the speed of light.
We look at the sky and appreciate the light that reaches us by about 14 billion light-years. But that does not mean that this is the age of the real universe or that this is the size of the real universe, but that our perspective is a bubble in which the physical laws we know and the horizon of our observation can not Exceeding their acceleration limits.
Our bubble expands faster than the speed of light while all the elements within it so that light can not move faster than the speed of causation (light) is what we call the visible universe.
If we are to imagine that parallel to the fact that we have to move beyond the horizon of an event we are faster than the speed of light tens of times so that we can move faster than the speed of cosmic expansion. Assuming that we exceeded the 94 billion light-years that limit our current perspective and then stop, we will observe that a "new perspective" other than our present being is rapidly limited It expands from our point of arrival. Humans on Earth are so far away from us that the light does not fly from their planet to us and even if it goes, it will never reach us because we are outside the speed of expansion versus causality. Also, moving faster than the speed of light by thousands of times means in theory that we are back in time, which means that we will notice that our universe is shrinking instead of expanding because we travel faster than its expansion.
The idea here is that multiple universes are just an expression of causal bubbles caused by the initial inflation of the universe and then the assets within those bubbles are quickly controlled by causality and unable to emerge because the velocity of expansion is greater than the causality within them.
The universe is everything and the naming of multiple universes is only our means to say that there may be multiple perspectives but all within one universe may be infinite expansion.
We are just a point of trillions of points within a cosmic bubble of an infinite number of visible universes for those who live within.
The idea of multiple universes explains the fallacy of the clever synthesis that is made about the impossibility of life only if the physical laws are exactly as they are in our universe. However, the understanding of the idea of multiple universes explains how life can only appear as we know it today These are the laws we monitor.
